TPG Pace Beneficial Finance and EVBox Group Mutually Agree to Terminate Business Combination Agreement
TPG Pace Beneficial Finance Corp. (TPGY), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, and EV Charged B.V. (“EVBox Group”), today announced that TPG Pace, Edison Holdco B.V., New TPG Pace Beneficial Finance Corp., ENGIE New Business S.A.S. (“Engie Seller”) and EVBox Group have mutually agreed to terminate their previously announced business combination agreement, effective immediately.
TPG Pace intends to continue to pursue the consummation of a business combination with an appropriate target. With the agreement terminated, TPG Pace, Engie Seller and EVBox Group may (but are not required to) continue to discuss a potential business combination transaction involving TPG Pace and EVBox Group.
The merger was announced in December of 2020.
Merger Votes/ Completions:
NextGen Acquisition Corp. II (NGCA) completed its merger with Virgin Orbit. Ticker change to VORB set for tomorrow
The transaction raised appx $228M after an estimated ~82% of the public shares were redeemed
Athena Technology Acquisition Corp. (ATHN) released redemption numbers: 22.7M shares were redeemed, or an estimated ~91% of the public SPAC shares
The transaction is expected to close on 12/30, with the ticker change to HLGN on 12/31
